Overview
This page lists key and mouse shortcuts to streamline your workflow in Microscopy Image Browser.
General notes
These shortcuts assume default settings:
for drawing/selection for panning
Info
Swap these in the Preferences dialog or via the Swap left and right mouse buttons in the toolbar.
- mouse wheel: changes slices by default, while Q / W can be used to zoom-out and zoom-in.
Info
Swap this behavior in Preferences or by pressing Mouse wheel modes.
- Customize shortcuts in Menu->File->Preferences->Keyboard shortcuts.
Combination of mouse and keys
- move cursor: Displays intensity and coordinates in the Path Panel.
- mouse wheel: changes slices or zooms (depening on settings in Preferences).
- Shift + : mouse wheel: jumps 10 slices up/down (adjustable via
on the slice slider in the Image View Panel). - Alt + mouse wheel:
- scrolls time points for 5D datasets (if set in Preferences -> User Interface -> Hold Alt with Scroll Wheel: Scroll time points).
- returns to the original slice (if set to Return to the slice in Preferences).
- Alt + Shift + : mouse wheel: jumps 10 time points (adjustable via
on the slice slider in the Image View Panel). : selects pixels based on the method in the Segmentation Panel. - Hold
to pan the image left/right and up/down.
Alternative syntax
Alternative shortcut for usage with a touch screen: Ctrl + Alt + Shift +
- Shift +
: adds to the existing selection. - Ctrl +
: removes from the existing selection (eraser, negative seeds in the Segment Anything Model tool). - Ctrl + mouse wheel or [ ] or Shift + [ / ]: adjust brush/selection tool size.
- Ctrl + Shift + mouse wheel: adjusts brush/selection tool size in larger increments.
Interaction with ROIs
To edit ROIs (e.g., size or position), use
In Edit mode:
- hold and drug
to move the ROI on a vertex to delete it - S +
on an edge to add a vertex - double
to accept changes
